Benedikt Köstler took the stage with a fresh hairstyle and a sharp outfit, as if he was a typical teenager. Everyone expected him to sing a modern pop song by Bruno Mars or Justin Bieber, but they were surprised when he started singing!
If you’re a fan of Elvis Presley (or good music in general), you probably love hearing different versions of classic Rock n’ Roll songs. Even better if the covers are surprisingly good. Talent shows, like the one you’re about to watch, are the best place to find fresh new voices singing the classics we all love.
You might think a talent show is a new way to discover new talent, but it’s not. Even Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé appeared on the 1990s TV show “Stars Search,” where they began their glittering careers.
Moreover, a large number of music stars have come from various singing competitions. The X Factor U.K. made Leona Lewis, One Direction, Little Mix and James Arthur famous. Fifth Harmony formed on The X Factor in the US, while Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Lambert started their careers on American Idol, etc.
Although the most well-known stars to date come from the United Kingdom and the United States, other countries also have incredible talent. Benedikt Köstler, who was 16 when he auditioned for The Voice, is one such candidate. With his impressive performance, he caught the attention of the judges and the audience.
Benedikt took the stage with a neat outfit and a freshly done hairstyle, as if he was a typical teenager. Everyone expected him to sing a modern pop song by Bruno Mars or Justin Bieber, but when he started singing, everyone was amazed! Indeed, first impressions can be deceiving. Benedikt’s voice was deeper than anyone imagined, and he sang “Always on My Mind,” an Elvis Presley song.
He didn’t even sing for 10 seconds when the audience erupted in applause, and he also caught the judges’ attention. He receives his first “I want you” from the judge within the same minute, as the audience continues to applaud his performance.
Benedikt was a real find, according to everyone in the reviews. Despite the show being in German, there are plenty of English commentaries, showing that good talent is appreciated around the world.
“He had a deep, raspy country voice that I wouldn’t have expected from someone as young as him,” one viewer said, expressing admiration for Benedikt’s performance. Benedikt, you did a fantastic job. Because I’m such a fan, I think I’ll be prepared to watch this many times.
“I can’t stop listening to this audition,” said another. ” It’s fantastic! »
They didn’t overdo it, that’s for sure. He WAS REALLY GREAT. We’ve included his entire performance, along with FOUR more follow-up videos and an incredible “Hallelujah” duet. Start watching, but be warned: you won’t be able to put it down. Enjoy!
