God Bless America was first made public by Lee Greenwood in 1984. When Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was tragically shot down, Lee realized the time had come to write a patriotic song. He had always had a tremendous urge to do so. The song rose to prominence on the country music charts, but it wasn’t until after the September 11th attacks that it became a worldwide phenomenon.
Home Free is a successful American cappella group that competed in The Sing-Off’s fourth season and won. Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance make up the band Home Free, which has been performing together for many years. For this amazing performance of «God Bless The USA,» they are working together with the legendary singer Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band.
We may find comfort in the awareness that we are all equally adored children of God, even in the difficult circumstances our country faces. God will bless our nation and make our way clear when we stand together.
